Minutes into the kickoff of the NBA Season Opener: Celtics @ Cavs, Celtics' small forward , Gordon Hayward, was stretchered off the floor in Cleveland after suffering a horrific-looking ankle injury.

Hayward's left leg bent awkwardly as he landed under the basket. Teammates and Cavaliers players, including LeBron James, rushed to check on him. NBA fans are still in shock watching what should have been a thrilling season-opening game.
Update (5:55PM PST): The Celtics have confirmed an ankle injury via Twitter. Gordon Hayward could be out for 6-8 weeks.
